About me

Hey folks! My name's Danny, and I'm a DM with a bit over two years of experience running games. I have experience with in person professional games at multiple local game stores in the Chicagoland area as well as a bevy of home games. I try to maintain a fun, upbeat, high pace environment that is welcoming to all, and while I'm most comfortable with the 2014 5e rules I'm more than comfortable bending things in the interest of fun... a little bit :) I also have a live play podcast (on YouTube and coming soon to Spotify and Apple Music) called Dalliances in Decay that can give you a little taste of what my DMing style looks like!

GM Style

My players enjoy an immersive theater of the mind experience complete with a variety of voices, plenty of laughs, and strong bit commitment. I prefer roleplay heavy games and do best when players contribute a backstory I can draw from when crafting a narrative to make sure everyone feels as engaged as they can be (there are always 5 main characters at my table, given 5 players). I also know how to enforce limits, though. Given my experience with in-person professional DMing I know how to throw the brakes on uncomfortable situations and work out conflict healthily, either with the group or one on one. And depending on your session zero preferences you may find yourself playing in the homebrew world I've been playing my home games and running my podcast in for the last two years!
