About GM AJ

Hey there! Welcome to my profile. Please, make yourself at home! I started out a loooooong time ago, playing a couple sessions of different systems before I became a DM and fell in love with the absurdity that is D&D. My main objective when running my games is entertainment. I'm not one for dark stories and brooding characters, I enjoy a light hearted tone and will pick silly over serious any day of the week! I use music and ambience to help with immersion and I love a good Roll20 map that players can explore as they see fit. I will ABSOLUTELY be doing character voices whether it be a gruff ruffian or a high pitched whimsical gnome and I will always encourage players to be as creative as they want. Whilst I understand that everyone has their own play style and different character types if you want to be a lone wolf that works alone on his own and don't need no one cus they're a loner, you may want to find a different game as that is not the way I like to play. I will always try my best to make sure everyone at the table feels safe and included.

How GM AJ runs games

I would say my DM style is relaxed and goofy, I'm not trying to win any awards I'm just here to have fun and (hopefully) give my players a fun time too. I am definitely a "Rule of Cool" DM and will always let players try out whacky ideas, but also try to be fair and keep them within the rules of the game.

I try my best to give every npc they're own. You cast Speak with Animals? I will come up with a squirrel voice on the spot. Will it be pleasant to listen to? I cannot guarantee that!

GM AJ's ideal table

Ideally I'm looking for players who are just looking for a good time. I don't know all the deep lore for all the planes of existance and whatnot, I just want to make people laugh and have fun.
