About me

A professional GM for 5+ years, I take inspiration from everywhere and work hard to make a game that fits my players. www.cbklearning.com/general-1 I offer: > Custom homebrew campaigns based on character creation (free session zero) > Campaigns based on the most popular modules (Lost Mines of Phandelver, Waterdeep Dragon Heist, Curse of Strahd, and more!) > Non-D&D games such as short one-shots and other systems (Kids on Bikes, StarWars 5e, Masks, etc.) > Campaigns for kids (ages 9-18) Inspired by actual plays like Dimension 20, Critical Role, and NADDPOD, my goal is always to balance the stakes for characters and levity for players at the table. I do this through character-centered stories (both in module campaigns and custom homebrew campaigns), engaging combat mechanics, and, as always, the rule of cool.

GM Style

What I offer is player-responsive games. Before preparing for a game, I need to know who will be at my table and which characters our story will center around so I can craft an experience that fits with the needs and desire of the group. Even in one-shots and first sessions, I find ways to tie character stories into the plot in meaningful ways because if our story isn't about our characters, why are we telling it at our table? I also offer engaging combat scenarios that don't focus only on reducing enemy hit points to zero. Instead, every combat scenario has multiple win/loss conditions that lead to cinematic moments and the need for player strategy.
