About William
A great DM is a lot like a great teacher; they facilitate the growth of those around them. With 10 years of DM experience (both offline and online) and my day job as an English teacher, I specialise in creating welcoming, engaging tables where every player's voice is heard, and every player has the chance to create good memories. I strive to: · Onboard New Players: Complex rules made simple. · Dynamic Roleplay: Bringing NPCs and worlds to life with depth and consistency that reacts to you. · Collaborative Storytelling: Your character's goals drive the narrative and can reshape what the story is and where it's leading to.

I got started GMing...
...because the world is full of adventure, and I always love a little more.
My favorite shows/movies are
Schindler's List! Oh, and Mulan!
How William runs games
The shape and tone of my campaigns can vary wildly. You can expect: Human conflict. There is no greater monster than a human. Creepy forests. Moral conundrums. ...but you'll always get to experience high-quality roleplay, no matter what else the campaign entails.

My games focus on...
Roleplay, intrigue, and dilemmas.
Rules are...
...adaptable, but must remain fair. I prefer to follow the spirit of the ruling.
When it comes to voices
I love to employ a dynamic range of voices for my characters, even if I'm not a great voice actor!
William's ideal table
My table is always meant to be a laugh for anyone who wants to join. If you're willing to sit down, engage, and have a good laugh with some strangers (and hopefully friends), then you'll fit right in.

I think metagaming...
...is a bit no-no, but sometimes it can be hard to avoid. We can never be entirely certain what our character might or might not know. It's hard to pin down such fine details. That's why we work together to figure out those details.
I think min/maxing...
...is the right of the player, and I completely respect it - however, don't let it become the pure focus of a character.
My table is not the place for...
...those who refuse to roleplay, engage, or work as a team. My games are social activities first and foremost.
