How Stephan Wood runs games
The rules are guidelines. In my mind, as long as you can give me a good reason for it, it can happen. Now, we're not going to go too deep on the discussion or get too cartooney, but, I do want the game to be fun. That is the most important point, if you're not having fun, I'm failing as a GM

I prep by
Because I run games weekly, I usually start prepping the next day after the session. Though, I usually take a casual approach to it (chaos does exist and you can only plan so much), I do like to make it interesting with props and visual aids when I can.
Rules are...
Mostly guidelines. They exist to keep the game fair and transparent...until its not. Then that's where the players have to have faith that their GM will make a call that will empower the experience and keep things fun.
When it comes to voices
I like trying to vary voices for NPCs, though, there's only so much one can do with their vocal range. I still think I do a decent job.
Stephan Wood's ideal table
The ideal table is filled with people who have a vision for their character. Those that like to dive into their persona and immerse themselves in the world. Don't be afraid to try something off the wall, all I need is an excuse to make it happen. That being said, always keep the other players in mind, too. Its not just your show, everyone has a part to play so, let them play it just as vibrantly as you do.

I am for a vibe that's...
Just trying to have fun. Don't take the game too seriously, let me handle rulings, and just worry about having fun with it.
I love it when a player
Develops their character. I've seen players who are just there to roll some dice and fling spells. However, where the game truly shines is when your character is faced with a situation existing out of their normal scope, and triumphing by becoming something more than that.
I think it's a red flag when players...
"Its what my character would do." If you have to use this phrase, rather than just refer to your character's backstory or background traits, then more than likely no, no its not what your character would do. It would be different if this was a harmless action, but, it seldom is in this case.
