Compelling stories? Heart-stopping character moments and pulse-pounding cliffhangers? World-building that feels real and lived in? These are my passions, and D&D is how I express those passions. I'm Gator, an LGBTQ+ player & GM specializing in play-by-post (PbP) D&D campaigns on Discord. With 40 years of history as a player and over 6 years of experience running a West Marches server & GMing via PbP on a daily basis, I've developed a unique set of skills and tools that help players of all experience levels feel right at home in a PbP campaign. In my campaigns you'll get a chance to fully develop your character and explore the worlds we create together, all from the comfort of your keyboard or phone. GM Style

"At the heart of everything is the story." That's my gaming philosophy in a nutshell, and it's how I approach my campaigns. The rules, setting, & mechanics are there to help tell your story. I'm not a rules-as-written (RAW) GM. I'm closer to rules-as-intended (RAI), with a healthy dose of 'Shenanigans? Sure, if you can justify it in game!' I run play-by-post campaigns, where the players & GM exchange texts on Discord describing their actions, then react to what the others write in return. Your fellow players could be based in different parts of the world, playing at a time that works best for them, yet you're all playing together. Honestly, it's probably my favorite way to play. Pros of Play-by-Post: • Play/post every day, at times when it's convenient for you. It's like getting a daily dose of D&D. • Take the time to compose your responses & dive deep into what your character thinks & feels. • Easier for players with social anxiety. • You can play from literally anywhere. Home, the dentist's office, your car (but not while driving!). If you can spend 5 minutes on your phone or at a keyboard, you can make a post & take part in the world. Cons of Play-by-Post: • Slower gameplay. Waiting for other players to post takes time, especially during combat. • Technology focused. Certain tools (Avrae, Tupperbot) are used on a daily basis, and these take time to learn. What I bring to the table: • A well-organized Discord Server designed to ease players into PbP. • 6+ years of GMing via PbP, learning how to tell a story effectively. • Passion for shared storytelling & helping players explore their characters. • Engagement & enthusiasm. I make several posts each day to help progress the story, provide details, answer questions, or explore characters' motivations. • A campaign designed around you! Want a roleplay-heavy game? We'll build scenarios that let you & the other players build deep connections to each other & the world, exploring your backstories and launching sidequests. Prefer to dive right into combat?
