Hi, I’m Game Martin, a passionate GM with over a decade of experience crafting both unsettling horror adventures and epic fantasy sagas. I specialize in games like Delta Green, Call of Cthulhu, and Pathfinder 2e, as well as systems like Forbidden Lands. Having taught improvisational theatre for ten years, I work to create a table that brings out the best in each other. I bring a flair for deep character development, dramatic storytelling, and unexpected twists to every session. In horror games, expect tension to build slowly before key moments strike. In fantasy, you'll experience a world rich with wonder, danger, and unforgettable landscapes. Player Agency & Storytelling I love collaborative storytelling, encouraging players to shape the world through their decisions and character backstories. While I use published adventures and scenarios, your choices will drive the narrative. Roleplaying Well Together It is very important to me that we commit to having fun/horror together. Improvisational roleplaying is a skill we all practice, so I introduce simple roleplaying principles and techniques like building on others' ideas and making each other look good. When we roleplay well together, your ideas come to the fore, and we all get what we came here for. Horror & Psychological Depth My focus is on horror that plays with the mind, creating creeping dread and moral dilemmas. In horror games, you'll uncover shocking revelations that challenge your character’s sanity. In fantasy games, your characters will face choices they will not soon forget. Flexibility & Improvisation I’m well-versed in systems like Delta Green, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder 2e, and more, allowing me to balance rules with creativity. If your characters go off-script, I improvise to keep the story cohesive while giving you freedom to explore. The world evolves with your actions.

I've been playing and GM-ing for nearly 30 years and I can honestly say Martin is one of the best GMs I've had the pleasure of playing with. We often talk about "two types" of GM, where one type does a lot of planning, writing and preparation, but is maybe a little bit rigid and railroady – and the other is loosy goosey, adjusts to player input, but does no prepwork and improvises everything.. Well Martin is the best of both worlds – he's both an incorrigible geek, an academic and a seasoned stage and game improviser – meaning he'll find joy in preparing strange worlds, mysteries and genuinely interesting investigations that go places... but can also scrap everything and make something wonderful up on the spot. He's also kind, inclusive and good at creating a safe space for fun. In short: he's wonderful.
