About Cheyenne

Hello, my name is Cheyenne. I've always had a desire to play D&D and finally got the chance to play while studying in University. I was working and going to school so I didn't often have the time to play. Eventually, I discovered text-based TTRPG and at the same time, I discovered games beyond D&D. I very quickly jumped into running games myself as GM and have now accumulated over 6 years of experience running games through text, in person, and virtually. I especially love Powered by the Apocalypse games. I have 6 years worth of experience running games in person, virtually, and through text. I had the opportunity to mix my career with my passion for roleplaying games when I developed and ran a TTRPG program through a medical health centre. I'm very much interested in the connection of wellness and play and using TTRPG's for therapeutic or educational purposes. I like exploring different systems and genres from darker themes and settings, to the more silly and lighthearted. It's important to me that no matter what system I run I provide an inclusive, welcoming, safe, and fun experience for whoever finds their way to my tables.

How Cheyenne runs games

My GM style is very roleplay-focused. I don't do the best character voices and I don't tend to be drawn to crunchy rules of combat. I do believe in the rule of cool, but I like to keep things fair and balanced at the same time. I'm a trained group facilitator with experience working with groups through self expression, skill-building, conflict resolution and more. I've used TTRPG's to do this in a group setting for over a year now. My games tend to be very diverse, filled with NPC's and characters with different backgrounds, identities, and sexualities. I believe strongly in safety tools and out-of-character communication.

Cheyenne's ideal table

My ideal table is queer and POC friendly. It follows the rules, but makes room for things like rule of cool as well. The players are invested in the GM's story and in each others. They are generous with their reactions and I don't have to chase them with the story because they run after the story themselves.
