About me

I've been playing Tabletop RPGs ever since I picked up a 3rd edition player's handbook in a local bookstore and made characters for myself so that I could run them through adventures since then I've run several campaigns of various systems and expanded both my design knowledge of various systems and game mechanics as well as my ability to facilitate stories being told and tell my own. My passion is to allow people to experience a story with agency to know that they can shift outcomes and play the way they want to so long as everyone at the table is comfortable. I use various battlemaps, props, notes and other features to help people get into the world, or I can just use theater of the mind to help players imagine their victories and struggles. I play various games and systems without feeling the need to specify, though I have the most experience with Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition including some homebrew credits to my name, but I also pride myself on being able to pick up games very quickly, so if you have something out there that you want to play feel free to approach with a request.

GM Style

I love roleplay and social scenarios be that a friendly tavern or deadly intrigue, and I try to do character voices though I am by no means a voice actor. I have deep system knowledge and rules mastery, but I am also an adherent to the rule of cool and will bend rules to allow players to do what excites them. I'm not a fan of encumbrance as long as it doesn't get out of hand in any system. I expect players to reason things out and to try to move the plot forward as well as know their abilities within reason (forgetting a spell or ability is fine, but not having read any of them is not). I want combats to have meaning so I don't tend to have a lot of random encounters that do not feed into the greater story. The reason I play these games is to create a story with people that even I don't know the final shape of. I want things to happen that surprise even me and give everyone at the table lifelong memories.
