About me

I'm JD, Dave to my friends. I've been an avid player of TTRPGs since 1990, and have been running them since way back when. I have been running games through virtual tabletops for two years, professionally for one. I am a husband and father, with a background in live theater. I have taught literally hundreds of people to play a variety of games, and am looking forward to doing the same for you. In addition to Dungeons & Dragons 5e, I also run the 20th Anniversary Edition of White Wolf Game Studio's classic World of Darkness games, Scion 1st edition, Exalted 2nd edition, and several others available on request. Some of my games focus on mature themes. Some are more light-hearted, and are kid friendly (PUGMIRE is a great game for kids 10 and up!). Session 0 is always free, and is where a group will discuss the expectations of the group, and establish the tone of our games.

GM style

I prefer a game with well rounded characters, strong storytelling and roleplay, and cinematic combat scenes. I enjoy playing with people who throw themselves into the story. And I have always loved teaching new players to love throwing themselves into the story.
