About me

I have been playing RPG's since I was 13 and have more than 30 years of experience behind the shield. I really enjoy it and it would be fun to get to sit down with some Players I've never met before. I'm also very good with people who are new to the hobby. I have plenty of patience and am very good at tailoring the game to your level of experience.

GM Style

I like to prioritize player engagement and story over rules. The trick is to know which is which and when the player experience is more important that being a stickler for the letter of the law. I've worked hard to develop improvisation skills where I don't have to do a lot of complicated prep work to keep things going (the players are probably going to derail those plans anyway). It is my strong preference to run my own stories rather than modules though I do appreciate a well thought out campaign setting. I'm very good at developing in depth stories that engage the characters people are playing. I personally believe that the structure of the game is based entirely on what your PC's are. Their sets & abilities (whatever that may be) sets the roadmap for the campaign, as opposed to expecting the Players to get in line with a set of plot rails. Like any activity worth doing, you need to meet in the middle and a heavy handed authoritative style doesn't make for a fun table. I am uniquely equipped to deal with Players who go "off script" since they are the story not the other way around.
