About Mark

Aloha! I'm Mark and I love to run games of Dungeons and Dragons 5E and Pathfinder 2E for my players! My style as a DM is more on the RP heavy side. I emphasize making the player a part of the process and crafting a meaningful experience for both the character and the player. In my games, the core story isn't the only focus, but also how your characters live within that story and navigate through both the joyous occasions and mournful moments. I also create my own maps and enjoy making them for games, especially my Homebrew world. I find a lot of joy in creating detailed maps for my players to see and play in. I became a GM because

I wanted to collaborate with players to create an amazing story in-world. Roleplay is the best part of the game and having a full table playing together to make the world feel alive is the greatest feeling.

My favorite books are

Some classics like The Odyssey and The Painting of Dorian Gray, anime light novels like the Overlord series, and the Percy Jackson series. Read those Percy Jackson books a lot when I was younger and still fond of them. Also recently gotten into Warhammer 40k Novels like For The Emperor.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Dependable because I do my damnedest to hold a game each week. Storyteller because I value crafting a great story in collaboration with my players. Loremaster because I love to write lore to flesh out my worlds.

How Mark runs games

I love Roleplay and players who really get into their characters and the world. I do my best to really make the game immersive and fun for my players in it. Giving NPCs their own voices and distinctive personalities is one of my favorite ways of immersing my players and allowing them that sense of freedom and comfort to truly step into the boots of their character in roleplay. Players can expect combat that is challenging and interesting. I don't throw tons of enemies at you, but instead a select few with many different factors, such as environmental and situational factors.
