About Becky
Hi! I'm Becky, a longtime tabletop game player who stepped into GMing after years of loving the storycrafting, creativity, and collaboration that makes TTRPGs special. As a player, I’ve spent a lot of time at online tables experiencing different play styles, table dynamics, and GM approaches. That experience influences how I run games: I focus on creating a welcoming, respectful table where players feel comfortable taking creative risks, exploring their characters, and contributing to the shared story. My GMing experience began with running sessions for my family, where the focus was on collaborative problem-solving and creativity. I’m excited to now bring my thoughtful, player-focused approach to online tables. I aim to spotlight each character at the table and help players feel like their decisions truly matter in the unfolding narrative. My favorite thing is crafting moments for a player to surprise themselves with their character's capacity or growth. I’m especially drawn to games where characters drive the story, choices have meaning, and there's a healthy balance of silliness and tension. I care a lot about table culture and making sure everyone feels respected, safe, and included. I'm open to feedback and always learning and improving my skills as both a GM and a player.

I got started GMing...
...because of that age-old dilemma: we want to play D&D but we don't have a DM! :) Leading teams and facilitating a collaborative group effort is a role that seems to find me wherever I go, and gaming is no different!
When I'm not running games I'm...
When I'm not playing games, I'm homeschooling my kiddo, making art, parenting a Great Dane who believes he is a lapdog, and looking forward to my next trip to the bakery for a fresh croissant.
How Becky runs games
I view the Rules as Written (RAW) as our foundation – when we use RAW gameplay most of the time, we have a strong framework within which to sometimes use the Rule of Cool (bending RAW) to make a special moment really shine. Game rules are meant to facilitate the fun, and if occasionally bending them leads to an awesome, memorable story, I’m all for it! Here's what you'll find in my games: 🏆Fair Play: I run the game by the rules, no fudging dice here. Your victories are all yours, and I’ll celebrate with you! 🌐I am part of a professional GM team with over 200 players! We host events, tournaments, and one-shot adventures, and we have an active Discord community. 🥰 Before my GMing journey, my first career was in social work! After nearly a decade there, I switched to the software field where I quickly moved into a team leadership role. Whether it’s work or gaming, my philosophy is the same: meet people where they are, create a welcoming space to help new folks learn, be open to feedback, treat everyone with respect, and make sure each person is included. My tables are always beginner-friendly! 🎲 Whether you're a veteran player or newer to the game, I’m here to help you create an exciting story, experience a fun adventure, and make great memories. Let’s go adventuring together!
