About me

Heya, I'm Barrett and I've spent the past 6 years as a professional Dungeon Master. I've had the time of my life building stories with my groups, and I'm excited to meet more friends to play with!

GM Style

The primary aspect of D&D that entices me is its' use as a collaborative story-telling medium. I love the idea of creating epic stories that allow my guests to feel heroic. I like to pick and prod at the backgrounds of the party to really pull them into the story, and build a wonderful story with their inputs. I like to implement a decent mix of roleplay, combat, and exploration to ensure that every guest's needs are met, though my games do tend to have a slight bend towards roleplay. Above all, I'd like to think that I'm a very flexible DM. I can run campaigns of all types, from gritty realism to light hearted fun! I'll tailor each session to the preferences of the group, and I'll hope to refine that style as I get to know the party! Safety and inclusivity is a must, I actively try to foster a space for those in my games to have fun in a comfortable environment. No guest should ever feel scared to share any opinion they have, ask for a break from difficult to digest content, or call out issues they have with the DM or other party members.
