About Barnaby DM
Hello out there! I'm Barnaby and British-New Zealand writer, performer and Games Master. I've been gaming since I was a kid becoming obsessed with JRPGs and fantasy board games. Summers playing the latest Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts or Tales of games with friends were some major highlights. As an adult, the obsession has only grown developing into a career involving writing for stage, TV and video games as well as a love of running TTRPGS.

How Barnaby DM runs games
As a writer and performer, I love a good narrative in my games, so I expect lots of opportunities for role play. I prefer running Theatre of the Mind combat so we can get straight into the drama and keep the roleplay going, but if it gets too crunchy, you'll get an Owlbear Rodeo link to clear things up. Rule of cool over rules as written is a go-to for me as I currently run hero focused games where I want you to feel awesome. But your hero will also face some drama. It's never easy sailing as an adventure!
