About me

Hello! Thank you for considering me as a potential DM! I have been playing D&D for about 8 years now. I started with 3.5 (which I still love playing), and I DM and play 5th edition. (I'm more than willing to throw my hat in the ring to DM a 3.5 though). As a DM I really get into the world building. I love to use these fantasy worlds to explore various types of societies as well as tiers of living in those societies, and how motivations and decisions at the top effect those living on the bottom. I use one shots (or short 2 to 3 session "campaigns") to really explore lore and sometimes flip expectations on its head. I will admit, as both a teacher and actor, I am very heavy on Role Playing and Story Telling, so while there will be plenty of battles, traps, treasures, dungeons (and yes, Dragons too), if you are wanting a kick the door down and go to town killing everything in sight, I may not be the best choice for you. Ultimately though, I remember that the point of D&D, and any TTRPG really, is to have fun. If you are an absolute beginner you are in luck. Most of my weekly campaigns started with groups that had never played before and I love slowly introducing people to the various aspects of the game, explaining rules in interactive ways, and getting you started with a "typical" first session encounter. GM Style

I am very Story and Role Play heavy. I love characters, voices, motivations, and lore. I love giving descriptive details whether I'm explaining the way something appears or the epic way you slaughtered a baddie. I love to give players puzzles, traps, and intense combat. I have many resources beyond Wizard of the Coast books and love to create my own worlds. We can try something original or one of numerous campaigns that I have you're not likely to find on any old shelf. I am the kind of DM who will try to think of ways to say yes, rather than no (within reason), and wants everyone to leave the table feeling like they accomplished something and had fun doing it.
