About me

Howdy adventurers! I love to tell compelling stories focused on the players' characters. I develop characters' backstories with their players to ensure their stories are important to a campaign's plot. My goal in every campaign, or one-shot adventure, is to leave the players with an epic, fantastical experience. I've studied literature and psychology, and I try to bring that knowledge to the table. I want to tell a complete story with the players, their characters, and the setting. I like to use the psychology a player builds into their character to develop the character over story arcs; with in-game emotional, mental, physical, and sometimes spiritual challenges. Also, I like to focus on the group of players as a whole. I do my best to put them in situations that develop interparty relationships, in and out of the game; like conversations during downtime, intertwining their backstories, and out-of-game debriefings and conversations. I love to work with experienced and new players. I take time in and out of games to ensure everyone understands the game's rules and mechanics for their characters. And, I always make time after and or between sessions to touch base with each player to discuss anything they would like to about the game. I enjoy roleplaying and improv as creatures and NPCs within the game's world(s). I'm a battlemap cartographer, so the players always have unique locations for their combats. I focus mainly on running published modules for Dungeons & Dragons 5e, but I am willing to work with players to develop the game they want to play.
