About me
I have been playing tabletops for over 10 years. I love Dungeons and Dragons 5e as well as Pathfinder 1E. I focus on character lead stories and enjoy making the experience challenging while reveling in my players success. I am a big proponent of fun is the most important part of a session. I find more and more that my players may call me a "softer DM" that is only because I love the opportunity for fun magical weapons and abilities over intense struggle and strife.
GM Style
I prefer a balance of Roleplay to Combat. I believe that both are incredibly important for a game to be enjoyed by all. Though I am no rules lawyer, I find that the structure of rules in a game give leverage for both GM and player to state their case for how things should be interpreted. At the end of the day, I am a big fan of Rule of Cool.

Amazing GM who knows the rules but also allows for “rule of cool”, knowledgeable in many different game systems as a GM and a player. Typically uses roll20 or some other visual aid and maps with personalized tokens to help with game management. Storytelling, NPC involvement, backstory involvement is all top notch. Even from short one shots to full blown campaigns he pulls the same effort in to make sure his players are all welcome and included.
I've played several games with Alex as the GM and have GM'd for him before. In every instance he is creative, funny, and committed to player fun. If you choose to have him GM your game he will create wonderful tales that you'll remember for years to come. His characters are engaging, and his trials fierce. Plus he is pretty witty too.
Alex is a voice master and vivid story teller. Character and NPC interactions are very rich and easy to imagine for players and listeners of the podcast that he facilitates, The Final Crusade. He loves to joke and play, which is the most important part of a game for me. He is careful about rules but doesn't let them stop us from having fun and creating a compelling story. I would recommend him 100 times over as a beginner to advanced GM.
Alex is a fantastic GM, who really focuses on letting his players have a good time. Personally I love that he gives players the space to breathe and explore their characters, rather than simply trying to hustle the story along. He really brings his NPCs to life, both through voices and personality quirks, and this makes them fun for the players interact with, rather than having them simply be exposition dumps. In addition to all of this, he's a real advocate for player agency. Want to split the party? Go for it. Want to go off on a wild tangent? Go for it. There are plenty of GMs who will refuse these things for fear that it will "break their story" but Alex handles it all so adroitly it brings his games to life and really gives the impression of an open world with the freedom to explore.
