I've been playing at Rucht's tables for 20 years. He's an amazing, kind, creative GM. Don't let his kindness fool you, though, he's about the scariest horror GM on the planet.

Rucht is one of the absolute best story-driven GMs that I've had in the 40+ years of playing RPGs. In addition, his ability to weave a story around even the smallest part of any PC's backstory and create expansive sessions around these elements is without equal. All of this and he's an exceptional role-player in general. Even using pre-created content (like published adventures), he's able to weave the PCs into the story as well as anyone I've ever seen. Of the top 3 campaigns I've ever been a part of, 2 of them have been with him as GM.

What's better than Epic? Legendary? Mythic? Go one step beyond those and that's what you get from a game run by Rush Lilavivat. I've played in games Rush has run for over twenty years across multiple game systems and editions. The quality of his GMing is consistently superlative, but it's his story telling that is simply unparalleled. He blends character backgrounds and history into game play regularly and effortlessly. He also enthusiastically pivots the story to where the players want to take it and can improvise entire game sessions. Rush is great with players of all ages and experience levels - he's even run my kids. If you have a chance to play with him, just take it!

Rucht is an amazing GM. He is always well-prepared and runs a very interesting game. He listens to the players and always tries to incorporate their ideas and desires into his games. Rucht is not one to force players into anything. He is totally collaborative. I have played games run by him for many, many years at home and at conventions throughout the southeast. He is one of a kind. He especially excels at horror and suspense. You will not regret playing one of his games.

Rucht is incredibly fun as a GM. In addition to his consistent preparedness and his wonderful creativity--so MUCH creativity--that fun happens in large part because he makes you as a player feel like he is on your side *without* sacrificing the challenge of the game situation. He is always impressed and delighted when a player (or the group) find a novel or creative approach to whatever they're facing.
