Hello! My name is Seph. I've been running TTRPGs since I was a child, and I believe that these games come to life at the intersection of expressive design and inspired improvisation. A petty warlock cursing a germophobic villain to sneeze every time they talk, an imprisoned bard having to fashion an instrument out of two rocks and some string from their shirt, or an unlucky rogue having to hide in the business end of an outhouse to escape their heist; these are the kinds of moments I live for as a GM. As a trained actor (graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in LA), I'm able to provide considered, compelling, and often bizarre NPCs to players craving role play. Moreover, as a practiced critic and homebrewer (check out Tooth and Nail, my DnD5e enemy design podcast at Nerdsmith.com), I strive to present complex and rewarding encounters to my more action-focused players. Above all else, I believe in the GM's role as an active listener. No two players are exactly the same, and a stellar GM must attune to the wants and needs of their players in order to synthesize a magnificent experience for everyone.
