Omega Jones, also known as the Critical Bard, is a professional actor and vocalist from the Midwest. A proud member of Actor's Equity Association, he had a focus on live musical theatre & performance until he switched to being a full time content creator on Twitter & Twitch. As a TTRPG professional, he has worked with many companies including Wizards of the Coast, World of Darkness, and created the theme song for Critter Hug, a signal boosting monthly show produced by Critical Role. He has been seen on a plethora of TTRPG actual plays including Into The Mists (Noggins) & Tales of the Wasted West (Sully) with Realmsmith, New Pantheon: Academia (Kwame) with Saving Throw Show, & KOllOK (God of Purity) on FearHQ. He has been a GM for Jasper's Game Day & D&D Beyond and is a Celebrity GM for D3 at Sea, a D&D cruise event. His focus in content creation revolves around variety, inclusion, and activism. He is the creator and moderator of the #BLACKAFRoundtable, a series of talks about the realities of racism with the tabletop space & community. Some hosting credits include The Weekly with Twitch Gaming & Twitch Rivals: Pride Month Invitational ft. Lil_Lexi. He has appeared as a guest panelist in many spaces, including VirtuousCon, PAX East, the QBExRainbowArcade Summit, & more. He was chosen as one of the QueerInGames finalists for this work as a queer activist in the content creative space, was featured as a face of Twitch Pride 2021, & was a 2022 GaymingAward nominee for LGBTQ+ Streamer of the Year. As a full time partnered Twitch streamer, he strives for continued black and queer representation & urges folk to keep making treble wherever they go, as it is up to them to shake of this system, one Treblemaker at a time.
My GM style is full of surprises. First and foremost, I am a rule of cool GM meaning that I am (for the most part) willing to try. I am willing to meet you halfway with the awesome things you want to do. However, I am also a GM who immensely knows the rules so I will meet you with the caveat of understanding how most things SHOULD go. I enjoy roleplay highly — with my background in stage acting & performance, RP comes to me easily and the tables I run tend to lean heavy into roleplay aspects. I'm also, truthfully, a fan of an intense combat. Showing off the things you can do and how they synergize with your party is one of the best feelings for me so expect a nice juicy combat at my tables. I like to make individuals feel comfortable at my table at the end of the day. These games are collaborative storytelling and I seek to tell that story, however it pans out.
