About the adventure
Nestled on the west side of Lake Capitulum lies the scrappy summer camp known as Taletraeder Camp for Wayward Adventurers! Under the (not-so) watchful eyes of the eclectic camp counselors, you and your shenanigan-prone cabin mates are ready to spend a summer learning to be the best young adventurers you can be. Will you sneak over to your rival East Camp? Partake in a battle of the bands, craft fair, or harvest festival? Will you seek out what lurks in the bottom of the lake or in the woods? Or, perhaps the most adventurous move at all, attend your lessons?? At Taletraeder, the world (or, at least, the camp and the town just outside it) is your oyster and adventures abound await you! Taletraeder characters will begin as level 3 D&D 5e characters. It is encouraged to make a character that is also in the 11-17 age range. For those unfamiliar with 5e, we'll begin with a session zero to create characters and talk through gameplay. This campaign will be tailored to younger players - I've recently had a handful of amazingly talented, imaginative young people reach out to me beginning a campaign for 11-17 year olds, and Taletraeder is a great location for that - come join us! How to prepare
As we play, I recommend having a copy of your character sheet handy, the zoom platform with webcam and mic access (or we can discuss a different method if preferred for a group), and either an online dice roller or your own dice.
What I provide
I'll bring the adventure, tons of images of NPCs, and perhaps even some maps (typically in the form of a quickly editable google sheet) to share!
Gameplay details
Taletraeder characters will begin as level 3 D&D 5e characters. It is encouraged to make a character that is also in the 13-17 age range. For those unfamiliar with 5e, we'll begin with a session zero to create characters and talk through gameplay. We may also run an establishing scene for the characters to meet one another if time allows. I have experience teaching new players and developing characters online with new players as well! Taletraeder is a great environment for new players looking to explore their characters or for seasoned players looking for something a bit more lighthearted. Roleplay is highly encouraged and conversations and shenanigans between characters at the table is highly encouraged. If you need or would like a pre-generated character, feel free to let me know and I'm happy to whip something up for you! If you would like to develop your character one on one with me, I am also available for detailed character creation sessions! Additionally, we will use lines, veils, and the X-card for safety tools, along with bright spots to uplift things people would like to see. For those new to safety tool use, I will provide an outline of introductions to these and explain why safety tools at the table are important, even for lighthearted gameplay!

How will character creation work
Feel free to book a shorter session with me to talk through character creation privately, otherwise we will build our characters together during our session 0! I'm also happy to provide a pre-generated character if you'd prefer!
