About the adventure

You Awaken in a Strange Place - or YASP, for short - is a simple, chaotic, 3-player RPG created by Jacob Andrews of Drawfee fame. Rule no. 1: Everybody comes to the table unprepared! The GM included! Together we will invent a setting, some characters, take a 10-15 minute break for the GM to throw together a session plan, and then... we will awaken in a strange place. :D

How to prepare

Please create a Role account if you do not have one already, that is where I will be hosting this game. Please use a webcam and microphone of decent quality. Please fill out the provided Lines & Veils form prior to the session. Optional - you may use either your own dice (2d6) or the virtual dice provided.

What I provide

I will host the game on Role, providing a virtual character sheet and dice roller, walking you through and teaching the game.

How will character creation work

First, what's the genre of the story we're telling? Spaceship horror? Wizard school? Knights vs dragons? Zombie apocalypse? Secret agents? Avengers-style superhero team-up? Where is it taking place, and what do we know about this world? Once we've figured out the world-building phase together, we'll invent some characters and make up some stats for them.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
