About the adventure
Join this workshop to elevate your Roll20 game play to the next level! Roll20 is the only free VTT that you can use with hundreds of game systems, including D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder, Star Wars RPG, World of Darkness, Starfinder, BurnBryte, etc! Roll20 automates everything -- character sheets, dice rolling, creation and use of area and battlemaps, character and enemy tokens, sound effects and music, as well as a character creation tool for certain licensed game systems called the Charactermancer! It has text chat, voice and video chat, as well as a marketplace where professional artists, game producers and game designers sell their virtual assets and pre-made adventures as well as compendiums for game systems! During this two-hour workshop we will go through BASIC, INTERMEDIATE, and ADVANCED functionalities including but not limited to: - Creating and setting your game up for the first time with optimal game settings - Optimal use of the VTT and organization - GM and Player Tools - Understanding Layers - Managing Your Journal - Using the library and marketplace - Compendiums (based on game setting) - The Jukebox - Macros, Decks, Rollable Tables - Tokens and how to make them kick ass for you - How Character Sheets work - Optimal use of voice and video - Create a Landing Page! - Using music/sounds from licensed content - Dynamic Lighting and how it has changed the game, best practices for setting up DL layers - Vision/Night Vision - APIs such as 5th Edition OGL by Roll20 Companion, Aura/Tint Health Colors, Group Check, Torch, Roll20 Audio Master - Creating and importing your own tokens - Using the Charactermancer - Character Vault and Transmogrifier (PRO) - Integration with D&D Beyond/Beyond20 Extension (Chrome and Firefox only atm)

How to prepare
Please have a computer that can be used with Zoom - a microphone and camera are preferred, but at minimum, please be able to join via voice so we can hear you if you have any comments or questions. We will also not only be sharing Roll20 content through screenshare, but I do hope that you will be able to follow along by making your own Roll20 game during the workshop, so please create a Roll20 account in advance if you so desire!
What I provide
Hi there! I will bring my expertise of Roll20 to impart directly to you! I've been using the platform since 2016, and have logged over 4000 hours with it, and am currently in the Roll20Insight program.
Gameplay details
Please note that the workshop will not only be a presentation but will require participation from the attendees! We intend for everyone to have learned what they need for their own games and come away from this workshop armed to making their games even more awesome in Roll20!
