Winter's Splendor (A Taste of Dragon Heist One Shot)

About the adventure

All of Waterdeep is abuzz with the Winter Gala upon the city. You find yourself in the city as everyone prepares for this event. The streets are full of vendors and rumors. Something might be wrong about this year's Gala. Band together with a new group of friends and investigate as mysterious enemy emerges to threaten the city. This adventure is for 3-6 level 3 characters and runs 2-4 hours. Investigation will lead to combat, but this will be full of roleplay possibilities. Meet some of the faces of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist in events that take place before the events of Dragon Heist. Welcome to Waterdeep, the city of splendors and rich with intrigue.

How to prepare

You will need a microphone, D&D Beyond Account, Roll20 and Discord. No experience needed, but some play experience will help you enjoy this game more. Bring a festive beverage for yourself. All faiths welcome (no actual winter holiday is mentioned).

We will be using X, N, O for safety (I will go over at the start). This game will focus on roleplay but does 2-4 possible combats in it as well.

How will character creation work

Characters will be level 3. Bring your own level 3 character, make a new one or pick one of the pre-generated ones in the D&D Beyond Campaign. Characters should be looking for mystery, fun and a touch of Waterdeep occult.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
