    About the adventure

This game is going to be a one shot consisting of 1-3 sessions. Our session 0 will be discussing the world and building characters, and will NOT count towards our planned 1-3 sessions. The World of the Magic West: Mana no longer flows freely though the Magic West, similar to a kink in a hose. The Material Plane is only receiving a small amount of Mana flow, and the people of the world are using up that Mana faster than it can replenish itself, causing the Mana from nature to be used up, killing it. The world is now a barren desert on it's last legs. It will be up to our heroes to help save it. In this world, the roles of the classes you know have changed! Though, here is a basic run-down for each: Barbarian - trained by Private Military Companies, focused on ignoring the heat of battle and destroying their target. Bard - Many Bards became local leaders Cleric - Clerics fell out of existence due to the gods being dormant and not having enough energy to sustain their faith Druid - Some Druids are very rare due to forests being scarce. Fighter - Fighters are common sword and gun wielders, typical adventurers Monk - Most Monks were not strong enough to keep up with guns, but there are a select group of minotaurs who are monks. Paladin - Vengeance Oaths are bandits, sometimes good people looking for revenge, redemption oaths present, Crown Oath reserved for sheriffs (some cities require crown oath to become a sheriff), Oath of Ancients present but rare. Ranger - Cowboy adventurers Rogue - Highwayman bandit or adventuring bounty hunter Sorcerer - Some people terrified of sorcerers (Humans, Dwarves, Aarakocra) others revere them (Dragonborn, Tieflings) some exploit them (High Elves) Sorcerers are the most common caster in the Magic West. Warlock - Mythical, if not non-existent Wizard - Uncommon, taught by individual masters
