How to prepare

The only preparation you will need is to install Discord, the messaging service, and accept my friend invitation. From there I'll invite you to a server. During the game, you will need access to a microphone and earphones/headphones to communicate with us. Cameras are options, and reading the rules ahead of time are also optional.

What I provide

I'll be bringing the uh... server? I'll be making the server and setting it all up, as well as bringing all the content we need to study for understanding the game

Gameplay details

When you join my game, we'll do a few things. Firstly, I will invite you all to a discord server where we can meet and get acquainted. From there, we make sure of the date and time of our sessions. At our first session, the session zero, I will be teaching you the fundamentals of the game and also going through our expectations. I find it important that all players, including the GM, explain what they want to get out of playing the game. You might mention that you want to roleplay intense, emotional scenes between players, or that you want a grindy, dark dungeon crawl that's more combat focused. All of these are okay and viable options, but it's up to us as a group to decide which direction we'll be taking the game in so everybody knows what type of content to expect. This also includes any possible triggers or upsetting subject matter. That is the time to bring up any content that you would like to avoid, and things that are okay. After the session zero, we begin our one-shot at the next date and play through everything explained!

How will character creation work

Character creation can be daunting, and that's why I'm here to help! During session zero we will all work together to make fun, interesting characters and then transferring those cool ideas on to a Dungeons and Dragons character sheet!
