About the adventure

Elevator pitch: You live in a city called Karrlakton. It used to be a pretty cool place; on track to even becoming the capital. At least until the world exploded into a massive civil war where nobody won, and a magical nuke got dropped right next door to your house. Now? Things have just gone downhill after downhill. Everyone views your nation as a haven of necromancers, the nobility have beguin openly worshiping devils who, in addition to oppressing the people, have outlawed your religion, and done absolutely nothing to stop the rampant crime, and horrific shadowy beasts that eat you if your out past 8pm. Your character wants to fix this. And make your city a good place to live again! Campain themes: Urban, Organized Crime, Batman, Chaotic Good, Devils. @money, I understand that giving money to somebody you've never met over the internet is kind of weird. So as a compromise, I promise to not charge anybody a cent until the party hits level 2! That ought to give us time to have an adventure or two together, and get to know each other!

How to prepare

Players should have a working mic, a Discord account, and a free Roll20 account. Reading the rules is recommended, at least the basics, but by no means is it needed. Heck, I prefer brand new players. They tend to be more creative :) There's a few character sheet hosting websites out there I've used before, like Mythweavers or we can build your sheets directly into Roll20. Up to you guys. I'll walk you through it, no worries!

What I provide

I have a whole bunch of dice, but that seams slightly unnecessary for an online game. :P I have a full Roll20 subscription! I got PDfs galore, and maps set up on Roll20 for all the encounters I've built so far, but if you guys do something unexpected, I will try my best :) I got a few artist friends, so 100%, if you guys want yourselfs to get drawn, I can make that happen! and as I write this, i'm currently setting up an entire Discord server for you guys to chat/Roleplay between sessions in! This isn't my homebrew setting, but I've got a ton of knowlage of Ebberon , and I'm happy to introduce you to! @rules: In light of the recent OGL scare, this game will be played using a combination of rules from both 5e, and Pathfinder, such as Advantage/Disadvantage, 5e style Death saves, and new rules regarding Insperation/Hero Points.

Gameplay details

Ok, first off, regarding all the Content Warnings down there, I hope this doesn't make this game come across as somebody's torture-fantasy or anything. Most of them are due to spells like Charm Person, and the fact that this campaign takes place in the nation of Karrnath, a nation that; has basically gone to hell ever since the end of the Last War . Karrlakton is not a fun place to be, and the point of the game will be to fight AGAINST the above. Regarding safety and trigger warnings: By all means, be up front about it. I don't judge. If theirs something you don’t want in your rpg, be up front about it, and I promise I’l try my best to keep it out of the game. I'm afraid this is the first time I've done something formal like this website, so I'm admit this is the first time I've heard of the Luxton Technique and the like, but rpgs are supposed to be about fun, not trauma. If there's a line you don't want crossed, a topic you don't want discussed, that's fine! Or if something comes up that's your not ok with, all is well! I don't mind people walking away for a bit, or taking a break and the like, as long as you give notice. And of course, if we have a really intense day of defending the city from itself, you better believe we'll call things early to give everyone a chance to cool off. As for myself: if we're using the list above, I don’t like explicit sex, violence involving children, or mentions of IRL religions.

How will character creation work

Game will start at level 1. Feel free to come to the game with a character idea in mind, but please don't make a sheet beforehand. I enjoy walking people though character creation, and hopefully we can find some ways to tie the party together :)
