Welcome to Jakálla

About the adventure

You arrive in metropolis city of Jakálla as refugees: members of a tribe fleeing your invaded homeland beyond the Gulf of Teriyal, to the south-west of Livyánu. Your spokesman, Pectai, is a young warrior, courageous but inexperienced, who inherited his position after the death of his father during the exodus. He is advised by Bevand, the tribe’s old and crippled shaman. Your characters are some of the thirty or so adults in the tribe. Bear in mind these people are hunter gatherers. The tribes is (was) monotheistic, tending to simplify everything as ‘good’ or ‘evil’. Their social structure is also considerably more egalitarian than Tsolyánu’s. Pectai’s decisions are often subject to debate, though everyone is in awe of the shaman’s enigmatic pronouncements. All in all, you will probably take to Jakálla like fish to the desert. The adventure is set in the world of Tekumel - the first published RPG world, once published by TSR (creators of D&D) in 1974. We will be using the D&D5e system.

How to prepare

Players will need a mic for voice over Discord. Gameplay details

This is an introduction to the World of Tekumel, the first world for RPG's from 1974. It's as detailed and complex as Tolkien's world of Middle-earth., with lots of history. There will be a lot of role-play opportunities, exploration, and some combat. Players will have 3rd level characters.

How will character creation work

Players can use any official rules to create characters (including changes from Tasha's). NO HOMEBREW. Level 3 characters preferably created beforehand and sent to the GM to be added into Foundry.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
