About the adventure

We be Goblin! We crunch birds! Snip off legs and cut in thirds! Catch the turkey! Snatch the rook! Pluck the feathers -- Make them cook! Roast them drumsticks, boil them eyes! Mash guts gummy for bird pies! Once it all is well and chewed, We still hungry -- You be food! It was all going fine for the Birdcrunchers until an ogre moved in a half-mile away. It wasn’t long before the ogre began clashing with the Birdcrunchers, who didn’t take kindly to an ogre moving in to what they viewed as their territory. The Birdcrunchers grew even more irate when his boar animal companion began to attack Birdcrunchers while they were out hunting. This unusual adventure takes up the mantle of the goblins from the earlier one-shot, We Be Goblins! This time, they are coming to the aid of the Birdcruncher tribe of goblins in their trouble with unwanted neighbors.

How to prepare

A microphone and a reasonably quiet setting is required to play this game (or pretty much any game online). Additionally, you will need a computer that meets the basic requirements of the Foundry Virtual Tabletop software (https://foundryvtt.com/article/requirements/).

What I provide

I will bring maps and handouts for combat and story play and my many years of roleplaying and cooperative storytelling experience. I will have a selection of token images to use for a variety of character options as well as a selection of pregen character option. Lastly, but most important, I will bring the setting and an introduction for your characters into the story of the new world.

Gameplay details

We will be using an informal method for handling content triggers; If you start to feel uncomfortable with an element of the story play at any time, for any reason, just let me know privately. Also, if there are any story elements we should avoid, let me know during session 0. Content warnings: There may be historical and fantasy themes in the game storyline which would be considered problematic today such as slavery, racism, violence, and horror which have nevertheless sometimes historically been part of the genre. There presence does not imply that the GM, or anyone else, condones or promotes such concepts and behavior. I do not, and I assume my players do not. If you do, then please keep such opinions to yourself.

How will character creation work

I will have several pre-generated character options available for players who are unfamiliar with role-playing games or with the system used or who just don't want to put that much skull sweat into a one shot. Those who want to create their own character, can do so themselves (provided they are familiar enough with the rules) or can contact the GM for other options.
