Waterdeep Dragon Heist
Dungeons & Dragons 5e on Fantasy Grounds
About the adventure
Set in Waterdeep, this is an urban adventure for fresh characters at level 1 and will take them up to level 5. In the City of Waterdeep, a gold coin is called a 'Dragon' and likely named for it's proclivity to ending up in great, large piles beneath a Dragon. Before being voted out of office, the previous Open Lord of Waterdeep, Dagult Neverember, embezzled half a million dragons and has hidden them somewhere within the city -- It is open knowledge and a pastime to hunt for, as one never knows when they will stumble upon it in the most unlikely of places. Waterdeep Dragon Heist is a story best told through details and great dialogue which temper the inevitable combats. After all, you can't find a half a million dragon omelet without breaking a few eggs, eh? This module boasts a flexible assembly of villains fit for any party, any season.
How to prepare
Prepare your character, read up on 5th Edition and install Fantasy Grounds Classic DEMO. You do not need to purchase the program as I own the Ultimate Edition.
What I provide
The module, choice ambience and great voices.
Waterdeep involves quite a bit of exploration, asking questions and occasionally getting into some fights over important details, competition or just plain mistaken identity. I always like to focus on the story and roleplay aspects of a module as I believe it to be integral for anything else to matter. Imagine roaming the streets of Waterdeep with three friends (Or fresh acquaintances!) ready to join in the treasure hunt for a half a million Dragons. All is well on your walk down Julthoon Street, passing The God Catcher Little did you expect to witness a fight in the streets, your lives suddenly put into danger. Once the dust has cleared, you realize that this was just another brawl between the gangs -- And now you're in the middle of it, the guards encircling the street, their captain shouting questions. Welcome to Waterdeep.
