Warhammer 40,000 Wrath and Glory - The Perpetual Crusade

About the adventure

A conscript, pulled from your world; a mighty warrior tasked with a solemn mission; A lowly clerk assigned to a far-away desk. You are all herded into a large temple on the Void Shrine "Amicitia Domus Saltus" in a far-flung sector of the Imperium. A Palantine steps to the alter, "Welcome, chosen warriors of the Emperor, to your first steps in His Perpetual Crusade. This endevour has raged for 500 hundred years and shall rage for 500 years after you are gone. But your martyrdom shall not be in vain. Each step forward you take, each foul beast you slay is one those who come after shall not have to. Now, go fourth in His name, and fight for His glory!" This is a Warhammer 40,000 Wrath and Glory campaign set in the edges of the empire. The player characters will be participating in the Perpetual Crusade, lead by the Adepta Sororitas- The Sisters of Battle. Besieged on all fronts by the ruinous powers, your only ally is your weapon and your wits, and if they survive, your friends. We will play bi-weekly on Sundays using Roll20 and Discord.

How to prepare

A decent head-set microphone is recommended, as well as a passing knowledge of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Its Roll20, so I bring custom maps, and a custom-written campaign to challenge the players.

Gameplay details

Warhammer 40,000 takes place in the "Grim Dark of the Far Future". The Imperium of Man is not a nation of compassion and kindness; the punishment for any level of disloyalty is often death...or worse. Within the Warhammer universe, there are no "good guys", no "Good Choice". To that end, I like to run heroic campaigns where the Players feel like they are making a positive change in the world they temporarily reside. Wrath and Glory contains rules for gore, dismemberment, and psychological horror, but I choose not to linger on such details. Sexual content is right out. If at any point a player feels uncomfortable, I encourage them to speak up, and we will adjust as needed to return to a comfortable, and enjoyable level.

How will character creation work

Ideally, I would like to create characters together as a session 0, as Warhammer 40,000 Wrath and Glory offers several power-levels of play, called Tiers. These vary greatly, from a lowly guardsman with his trusty lasgun, to the mighty Primaris Astartes with their cutting-edge Bolt Rifle and Power Armor.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
