About the adventure

On the edge of civilized space, hovering over a ruined planet, is Virtue Station - hive of activity for the weary traveler, regardless of their business...or its legality. Here in this lonely outpost, spacers meet, trade, fight, love and die. If you’ve got skill and are willing to work, maybe you can find your fortune, or even a free life, on Virtue Station. This is a West Marches-style game, so each session is self-contained although individual stories will likely accumulate effects and change the universe in which future sessions are played. The games are primarily scheduled based on GM commitments, so players may come and go as they are able.

How to prepare

We will use Roll20 and Discord, so be set up on those systems. You will need a mic - a good pair of headphones is preferable. Most likely we won't be using video of players to minimize bandwidth requirements. We may use character sheets provided in Roll20 if available, otherwise you'll need pen and paper. Dice rolls will be online.

What I provide

I'll provide maps and handouts digitally through the Roll20 platform. If you have custom artwork for your character, let me know and I can create a custom token for the VTT with that artwork.

Gameplay details

Because we're not following a written campaign, the content can change from session to session. That said, if I know about particular triggers ahead of time I'll certainly avoid them. As a rule of thumb, if you are comfortable with the level of violence in Star Wars or Firefly, you shouldn't experience much beyond that in these sessions.

How will character creation work

In Traveller, character creation is a part of the role-play and game experience. We will likely devote the first 30 minutes to an hour of game session to create characters for anyone new to the game.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
