The Tyranny of Dragons

About the adventure

Up and down the Sword Coast of the storied Forgotten Realms, the Cult of the Dragon assembles in quiet corners and dark alleys. Their movements have been purposeful and unusual in recent months, as new leadership within a splinter sect of the cult has driven them away from their dark dealings with the dead of dragonkind, and into a new, living relationship with the queen of dragons. Our heroes, thrust into the forefront of a diabolical plot to wrest Tiamat free from the hellish prison she was trapped within at the hands of Bahamat, God of Goodly Dragons himself, will travel the length and breadth of the Sword Coast in their efforts to stop the cult. Because if they fail, a new age begins. The age of dragons. With a heavy interest in tying backstories into the ongoing plot, we will be exploring the growth of characters as they face off against dragons of every color, age, and description, and risk it all to save the world.

How to prepare

Microphone is a definite must as we will be communicating via Discord. Video is totally optional. Initial links will include appropriate links to the Discord, Syrinscape for music, and the DND Beyond Campaign.

What I provide

I provide the virtual tabletop and all the books for players to use on DND Beyond as well as my subscription to Syrinscape for game music.

Gameplay details

Typical sessions can and should involve all three "pillars" of a good D&D game. We'll regularly shift from combat to NPC interactions to explorations, and sometimes we'll try to do all three at the same time! Nothing like grilling a swashbuckler during the middle of a roof-top chase-scene in mid-combat to get the blood pumping! I keep an open door policy to address any safety issues and am always willing to work around anything that crops up to ensure that my players have a great time, every time.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created on DND Beyond using my shared books (ALL the books). Characters will then be imported into Foundry VTT for use and will level characters on DND Beyond.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
