Tyranny of Dragons (Full campaign)

About the adventure

In an audacious bid for power the Cult of the Dragon, along with its dragon allies and the Red Wizards of Thay, seek to bring Tiamat from her prison in the Nine Hells to Faerun. To this end, they are sweeping from town to town, laying waste to all those who oppose them and gathering a hoard of riches for their dread queen. The threat of annihilation has become so dire that groups as disparate as the Harpers and Zhentarim are banding together in the fight against the cult. Never before has the need for heroes been so desperate.

How to prepare

We will use Roll20 and Discord, so you will need to have free accounts for both of them. You will need a microphone for Zoom. Use of a camera is purely optional. Dice will be rolled in Roll20 and the VTT also stores your character sheet.

What I provide

I run the game on Foundry VTT and will be using it for the entire game. Should this continue into a full Campaign, I will create one on D&D Beyond so the group will have full access to the Compendium in a handy mobile format.

Gameplay details

I keep my D&D games light, but am prepared to use Lines and Veils to help keep games enjoyable and safe for all parties.

How will character creation work

For ease of everyone, I will have the Starter Box characters available. I will also accept 1st level characters created with the Players Handbook in place of one of the pre-gens. I prefer the Default Array instead of point buy or die roll, as the Pre-gens are built using default array.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
