    About the adventure

    Session 0 recruitment. Meet the DM and other potential Players. No actual game play for this session. Note: There is a $5 minimum charge for attending Session 0. If you attend Session 1 you will receive a discount equal to 1.776x your fee for attending Session 0. The campaign will be focused on the pillars of Exploration and Roleplay with some Combat, but Combat will be a minor part of the campaign.     How to prepare

    Please have a reliable microphone and internet connection. You will need to download Microsoft Teams and accept the invite that will be emailed to you. We will use Teams for voice, screen sharing, and campaign notes. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app If you want to drive your character sheet yourself you will need to download Fantasy Grounds. https://www.fantasygrounds.com/home/home.php and download the Free Demo. Install prior to session and have completed the update process If you want to hear sound effects in game you will need to download Syrinscape Online Player and accept the DM invite link which will be sent to you. https://syrinscape.com/online/ The above downloads are optional if you want the DM to roll the dice for you and manage your character sheet then you do not need to download Syrinscape or Fantasy Grounds. The DM will screenshare in Teams so you can follow along. Come prepared on game day. We will not hold up the session to wait for guests to download optional components.

    Gameplay details

    This is a puzzle and exploration adventure. It is also designed to where you can get past most encounters with creativity instead of violence if you so choose the pacifist path. Content is generally PG-13. The DM will not prohibit profanity or other language. Assume that at any time content can go MPAA Rated-R, TV-MA, or ESRB M For Mature by players. If it appeared in Conan, Beastmaster, or The Barbarian Brothers it will likely be in the game at some point. We will use Open Door as our Safety tool. The types of players that will do well in this campaign are the Actor, the Explorer, the Storyteller, the Thinker, and the Watcher. The Instigator, Power Gamer, or the Slayer are not good matches. This should feel like improv theater rather than a game.

    How will character creation work

    Character creation will be done independently by the players prior to Session 1. You will create a level 1 character on D&D Beyond and send the link at least 24 hours prior to session start. If you are proficient in Fantasy Grounds you may make your character there and send the XML file at least 24 hours prior to session start. If you do not choose a character at least 24 hours prior to session start, a random character will be assigned to you.
