Touch of the Feywild, Episode 1 "Mist Island"

About the adventure

Mist Island is a legendary landmass that never appears in the same place twice. Its appearance always presages great changes; cataclysms, plagues, rebellions, wars... For some, it represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for rare herbs or poisons. For others, its presence must be eliminated once and for all. You and your stalwart companions are part of an expedition to the Island, though your motives are your own. Will you prevent catastrophe or cause it? Will you be heroes or villains to the coastal kingdoms and empires the Island haunts? More importantly, will you survive Mist Island? Tales are that those who venture onto the mist-shrouded place are forever cursed, others say those foolhardy enough to sail towards the island are never seen again. Mist Island is a one-shot, 4 hour game for 4 to 6 players of 5th Level. Paranoia, terror, gore, and elements of darkest Fey tendencies are abundant in this opening adventure to the Touch of the Feywild campaign.

What I provide

DNDBeyond campaign will have access to Player Handbook (PHB), Volo's Guide to Monsters (Volo's), and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything for character creations, feats, spells, items. Players may purchase additional options for themselves ala carte from DNDBeyond.

Gameplay details

Triggers: Being stalked, hauntings Adventure has hard Lines; subjects that are not discussed such as rape/non-consenting sex, child murder, etc. Adventure has negotiable Veils; subjects that are hinted at or alluded to but are not described in detail; romance, seduction, etc. The first half of the adventure focuses on exploration and environmental challenges, 2nd half deals with combat, skill checks, saving throws, etc. LGBTQ+ friendly PEGI 18+ MPAA soft R

How will character creation work

Players can pre-roll their characters but use DnDBeyond (free account) for character management, Beyond20 (free extension for Chrome/Firefox) for integration of rolls/skills/spells, and a free Roll20 account. No playtest content. Players who do not have their own characters may select from a variety of pre-generated characters the DM will provide.

Players can expect
