Dungeons & Dragons 5e on Roll20
Price per player-session
About the adventure
A handful of Gods and Goddesses brought forth a plea to the other Deities that the Middle Plane had been abusing the gifts of nature around them for far too long and needed to be punished. After being brushed off they decided to take matters into their own hands and struck back. They killed off all other Deities by destroying the Celestial Plane (Top Plane) and descending to claim the Middle Plane as their own. Those who followed these Deities such as Clerics, Paladins, and Warlocks were granted the privilege to move freely Topside when they wanted. Those who refused to serve under these Gods were forced to make a life for themselves underground now referred to as the Sunken or appease the Gods with offerings for the privilege to go Topside. The players start 200 years after the aforementioned events took place.
How to prepare
Players should have a mic and discord account ready so that we can meet up there. A Roll20 account will be necessary so that you can play the game and access your character sheet. I would encourage players to read up on the class they want to play as to not hinder the group but I do understand that newer players may need some help and that is fine. Character creation can happen before session 0 or during.
What I provide
I will have maps, character sheets, and tokens ready for all players on Roll20 or the Discord for the group. I have bought a lot of stuff from Patreon or official DnD 5e resources.
Session 0 will help set up our lines and veils, Monte Cook RPG consent checklist, talk about X,N, O cards, and what to expect for debriefing, as well as Stars and Wishes. We will also talk in session 0 about the gods and Goddesses in the existing pantheon and how the mechanics of the Topside and Sunken areas of the world work.
Safety tools used
- Lines and Veils
- Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist
- Session 0
- Stars and Wishes
- X, N, and O Cards
How will character creation work
If you have a character idea ready you can bring it to session 0 or message me directly for input. I know it may be hard for newer players to create their characters themselves so session 0 will be a time to bring ideas you may have on what you want so that I, and the other players if allowed to by the person, can give input and help you build the kind of character you want to play. I feel that level 3 is a good starting point as it allows you the player to have more options when starting out an adventure, but I am open to talks during session 0 to allow characters to start at up to level 5 if the group all agrees
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Medium
- Roleplay: High
- Puzzles: Low
- Experience Level: Open to all
