About the adventure

On the ice sheets of the North Walk region, in the Bayanzan Khanate, winter has arrived early and stayed on two years too late. The snow has continued to fall past its due, and the winter season continues to claim more and more lives as the Decenti (the name of the local settlements) of North Walk begin to starve. The thick snow and economic troubles of the nation make assistance from the capital impossible, and the nomads and pioneers of the ice sheets are left unaided in the deep snow. Despite the harsh conditions, the Decenti is a perfect pit stop for the local adventurer. Ruins of ancient civilizations, mysterious magics, and more can be found in this frozen land. The question remains, what winter plagues the North Walk, and why are you trapped in this frozen land? Will you banish the cold and uncover the secrets of times unwritten, or will the cold claim you before you understand your true place in this world? Too many circles is a campaign in the homebrew setting of Zalatel, opening with a modified version of Rime of the Frostmaiden. The game will begin at level three and see the players through to level 15. I am a very roleplay and lore-focused DM, so I'm super excited for character creation! If you're looking to discover the ancient secrets of a brand new fantasy setting, upset some political structures while doing it, and fight demons on an airship, then this is the game for you!

Additional Details

How to prepare

You will need a working mic, discord, a basic understanding of the rules, and a dice set! (If you don't have physical dice, there are tons of apps and extensions online to use.) All vtts used (owlbear, Tabletop) require an account at the bare minimum, but only for the dungeon master.

What I provide

A Tabletop vtt subscription, a comprehensive list of adventures and sourcebooks on DnD beyond, Seven years of DM experience, too many dice, lore documents, maps, premade sheets should you decide you don't want to make one, atmospheric music, and even more dice.

Gameplay details

Our game will begin with a session 0, in which I'll break down the game and its lore, go over any topics the players may have questions on, and discuss safety tools. I'll also give you a Lines and Viels document to fill out and go over tools such as X, N, & O's. All document responses are private and will not be shared by me unless I'm given express permission to do so. You don't need a character or story figured out by session 0, it's just an introduction to the setting to get your creative juices flowing, and if we have extra time, we'll play a round of Jackbox!

How will character creation work

Characters begin the game at 3rd level, using either the 5e or A5e systems, and will either be created during session 0 or in the days leading up to session 1.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
