Tomb of Annihilation - Into the Rainforests!

About the adventure

The talk of the streets and taverns has all been about the so-called death curse: a wasting disease afflicting everyone who’s ever been raised from the dead. Victims grow thinner and weaker each day, slowly but steadily sliding toward the death they once denied. When they finally succumb, they can’t be raised—and neither can anyone else, regardless of whether they’ve ever received that miracle in the past. Temples and scholars of divine magic are at a loss to explain a curse that has affected the entire region, and possibly the entire world. The cause is a necromantic artifact called the Soulmonger, which is located somewhere in Chult, a mysterious peninsula far to the south, ringed with mountains and choked with rainforests. -- -- -- Well met, citizen! I grew up addicted to the fantasy genre and finally had the opportunity to try D&D in college. Now I'm addicted to this too :) Combat is definitely one of my favorite elements of the game. I try to run high-intensity combats that allow PCs to showcase their full arsenal of devastating moves. I also like RP and developing NPCs that react and make decisions alongside the player characters. I try giving NPCs initiative to achieve their goals, which makes the world feel more alive and less like a static set of unlinked encounters. NPCs may try to use you, discard you, ally with you, etc. and may make independent strategic decisions depending on their goals. I'm also happy to alter elements of the module to better incorporate PC backstories! -- Character Creation -- Standard Array or Point Buy Free Feat Also, please think about how your character will get along with teammates in a non-antagonistic way!

How to prepare

Please have Roll20 and Discord with a clear microphone. D&D Beyond is recommended but not required.

Gameplay details

I don't get particularly graphic with anything, nor do I veer into extreme or unnecessary content like sexual assault, torture, etc.

How will character creation work

Character Creation will occur in session 0, or if you're joining partway through you can create your character beforehand or we can meet separately to plan things out. -- Start at level 1 Free Feat Point Buy or Standard Array Please remember to create characters that want to be in an adventuring party and are willing to be collaborative!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
