About the adventure

You have heard rumors for years of deities in the Forgotten Realms being killed, imprisoned or going missing, not answering the prayers of the faithful. And recently, the sky darkened with lightning and thunder across the Realms and a sinister voice issued forth: “I Acerak will demonstrate my power I will ascend to godhood, a god of death no longer will mortals so easily escape the grave those that return in undeath are my children I will grant them afflictive power to attack the living Anyone who dares to seek out my secrets Will rot in the depths of my dungeons I openly challenge any fool to stand against my reign” The message ended with a powerful earthquake which opened buried cities and dungeons across the lands. Syndra Selvane wants to hire you to travel to Port Nyanzaru with your party into the jungles of Chult rumored to be the homes of dinosaurs, undead and the treacherous snake-men known as yuan-ti. Syndra believes the archlich has crafted a powerful malevolent artifact to aid him in achieving godhood. He wants you to find it and destroy it.

The Dos and Don'ts of Server Etiquette: How to Play Nice and Have Fun Remember that these rules apply everywhere on the server, from text channels to voice calls to the game itself. No place is safe if you're misbehaving. But don't worry - as long as you're playing by the rules, you should have nothing to fear. Just keep it clean and have fun especially for the kiddos in game and out! Spoiler alert. Here are the rules. 1. Don't be a bully, unless you want to get beat up by the virtual equivalent of the school principal. Trust me you don't want to meet the principal. 2. Keep politics and religion out of the game, unless you enjoy stirring up trouble like a troll under a bridge, well even if you like stirring up trouble like a troll and this includes all types of trolls including internet trolls. In short, no trolling unless playing one in game. If that's the case I'm sorry for you. Trolls are yucky. 3. Be courteous to others, or risk being banished to the land of the forgotten. Actually it's less a risk and more than like a guaranty as rude people generally have a low charisma and fail their saving throw when banished. 4. The staff's word is law and generally RAW, but feel free to speak up if you think they're wrong - just be prepared for the consequences [insert ominous music here]. 5. This is a welcoming community, so don't be a jerk and ruin it for everyone else. We're all here to have fun, not to judge each other based on our differences. 6. No cheating by using out-of-game knowledge, unless you want to be called out faster than a wizard casting a fireball or have your wizards fireball come back to hit you. 7. Keep the romance PG-13, or else you might find yourself in the middle of a love triangle with a timeout and a warning. So no explicit content, no erotic role play and if you think it may not be appropriate don't post it. 8. Malicious behavior will not be tolerated, so keep your mean streak in check or risk a one-way ticket to the dungeon. 9. Politics are a no-go in public chat, so take your heated debates elsewhere or risk a showdown with the moderators. 10. Leave the PvP at the door - we're all in this together, so don't be that guy who ruins the game for everyone else. 11. Follow the rules or face the consequences, from a gentle warning to an outright ban. Three strikes and you're out - don't say we didn't warn you. 12. The rules might change, so stay up-to-date or risk getting left behind like a level one adventurer in a dragon's lair.

How will character creation work

I offer the following premade characters or you may create your own 4th level character on D&D Beyond. Premade Characters Ghar (Bugbear 4th Level Totem of the Bear Barbarian) Velvet Branch (Tabaxi 4th Level College of Swords Bard) Nesres Frostroar (Shield Dwarf 4th Level Twilight Domain Cleric) Caithyra Sheynni (Wood Elf 4th Level Circle of Stars Druid) Darz the Vengeful (Hobgoblin 4th Level Eldritch Knight Fighter) Logu Agu-Ulakanu (Human 4th Level Sun Soul Monk) Navretar (Aasimar 4th Level Oath of Vengeance Paladin) Gutah (Half-Orc 4th Level Swarmkeeper Ranger) Dasmo (Kobold 4th Level Phantom Rogue) Xanora Flintfingers (Lightfoot Halfling 4th Level Shadow Magic Sorcerer) Shachar (Levistus Tiefling 4th level Hexblade Warlock) Nuvan (Sun Elf 4th Level War Magic Wizard) Character Bonuses Each player gets a feat at 1st level regardless of race. Each player starts with a 4th level character in one class and will use point buy. Each player gets a number of bonus languages equal to their intelligence modifier. Each player gets the maximum starting wealth for their class and background to purchase supplies in addition to those granted by your quest. Each player may engage in Downtime Activities while the group fills such as listed in Xanathar's. For example, if you join five days before the session you may use those days to craft a potion of healing which would cost half the price it normally would. So joining early gains an advantage.
