About the adventure

The powerful, old wizard that lives outside of town has requested that you retrieve a black chest from a nearby dungeon. A long time ago, he designed and built a dungeon to store some of his most precious magical artifacts. However...he doesn't remember anything about how he designed the dungeon or what he put in it to defend his treasures. He warns you to be on your guard because there are sure to be traps, puzzles, and all manner of deterrents. The Wizard doesn't offer any further help or advice. He clearly thinks this mission is not worthy of his time or energy, but still needs it to get done. On one hand, this gives your party a unique opportunity to get on The Wizard's good-side and an uncommon magical item in exchange for your work. On the other hand, you will face whatever security this formidable wizard put in place entirely on your own...

How to prepare

-A functional webcam, mic, and headphones connected to your computer -the Zoom application already downloaded and installed -Dice (either digital or real) -Ideally a digital character sheet that you can send to me, but paper is fine too -A picture to represent your character on the map (ideally you would send me this and your character's name before the game). -Once you are approved for the adventure, you may use the link below to join my temporary D&D Beyond Campaign. Gameplay details

This adventure contains descriptions of graphic violence, supernatural horror, and potentially body mutilation. The adventure is appropriate for PG-13 audiences. I will honor any requests to avoid certain subject matter that I receive prior to our scheduled game time. I also use the Script Change system for any issues that arise in-game: any player is welcome to request a pause, rewind, or fast-forward in order to circumvent sensitive material by either saying so aloud or messaging me privately.

How will character creation work

-4th level characters -Use point buy to set your ability scores -All official dnd content is allowed (no home-brew) -Take any basic equipment/gear you want, like standard weapons and armor (nothing magical or uncommon) -The majority of the one-shot will be puzzles and problem-solving with some combat and RP. -Once you are approved for the adventure, you may follow the link below to join my temporary DDB campaign. I have content-sharing enabled, which will allow you to make a character on DDB using all of the current sourcebook material: https://ddb.ac/campaigns/join/17403222672722627 -You do not have to make your character on DDB, but I recommend it. -If you can, please send me a picture to represent your character and their name before the session begins.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
