About the adventure

Willowdale, a longtime Elven community that has been on Jubachu long before the settlers, has recently gone quiet. The borders have been sealed and the communities that have traded with them for years have been shunned. Continued rumors have surfaced but the reason is still unknown. You have been requested by the city of Forencrest, a small mostly Elvish community to the north of Willowdale to help investigate and uncover what is going on. Jubachu is a world created by me! It generally follows 5e core lore, but sometimes deviates in the monsters, races, and gods to fit my own world. You'll find my world to be diverse and vibrant with custom lore, and intriguing cities as well as my own Primatian humanoid race (Gorillas and Orangutans live in Brun-Brua region). In this one-shot though, you'll be mostly contained to the northern most regions. During one-shots I sometimes will "railroad" my players a bit more to follow the story, if you find a campaign of mine, I do LOVE really allowing my players to sandbox.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will need a webcam and microphone and familiar with 5e rules. We run with Zoom, so whatever machine you can use. Please have 3-4 hours of time you can devote without being distracted by school, kids, or other. If you're creating a character, please DM me your sheet at least two days before hand so I can look over it. If you want me to send you a character, please contact me at least two days before hand so I can make sure you get it!

What I provide

As this is all online, I'll have Roll20 maps ready to go, as well as character sheets for anyone who requests it.

Gameplay details

During my games I like to use zoom. For simply combats I'll use theater of the mind, doing my best to describe much of the scene, for combats that are more complicated or I want my players to get a better idea of, I'll share a Roll20 screen and have each player describe where to go to me. As a DM I follow the rules pretty closely, but am open to bending them to fit narrative and purposes to make the game fun. If you're a STRICT rule follower, I do bend them quite a bit, so please be aware! I also frequently change monster stats and abilities, so if you're expecting one thing, you might find you get something quite a bit different. I'd say the rating of my games to be PG-13 to R. A couple of notes about my content that I don't allow! Sex - Fades to black (generally won't crop up in one shot) Rape - Not allowed Murder Hobo - Technically I'll allow it, but most likely there will be consequences in game Torture Porn - I'll describe my battles and sometimes get a bit gory, but not gonna describe torture. Sexism and Racism - In real life! If you have real issues with other races, sexes, or identities, go elsewhere (If your character IN game is racist or sexist, please discuss with group before hand to make sure everyone is comfortable)
