About the adventure

Once every eight years, the fantastic Witchlight Carnival touches down on your world, bringing joy to one settlement after the next. Its owners, Mister Witch and Mister Light, know how to put on a good show. But there’s more to this magical extravaganza than meets the eye! The carnival is a gateway to a fantastic Feywild domain unlike anything found on the Material Plane. Time has not been kind to this realm, however, and dark days lie ahead unless someone can thwart the dastardly schemes of the Hourglass Coven. The Wild Beyond the Witchlight takes adventurers from the Witchlight Carnival to Prismeer, a Feywild domain of delight, and is designed for characters of levels 1–8. This adventure is unique in that it is possible to navigate through it with little to no instances of combat, if the party is clever enough. It is a roleplay-heavy adventure, so embodying one's character, acting, and improvisation are all encouraged. I am requesting that players be over 18 to join, but all experience levels are welcome.

How to prepare

Please put thought and attention to the role-play elements of the character you wish to play, such as personality, background, voice, bonds, and flaws. Embodying a character's personality well will be rewarded. Other than creating a character sheet, players will need access to a working microphone, Discord, and a functioning web browser. Standard array for stats, please.

What I provide

I will be tracking and illustrating elements of gameplay through Foundry Virtual Tabletop, which will be accessible through any functioning web browser and does not require one to make an account. I will also be adding homebrew elements, unique character voices, illustrations, and curated music to make the adventure feel more immersive.

Gameplay details

There will be elements of horror in this game but I don't expect it to deal with any severe subject matter due to its generally light-hearted tone. If anything in the adventure makes a player deeply disturbed or uncomfortable, please let me know and I will do my best to downplay or remove the theme.

How will character creation work

Players will be asked to submit completed level one character sheets before their application is accepted. The easiest way to do this is linking to your DNDBeyond account, but I will accept any legible character sheet. Unique background and race options to this adventure will be unlocked through DNDBeyond once the player is accepted.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
