The Vagabond Tavern Presents: The Curse of Strahd
Dungeons & Dragons 5e on Theater of the Mind, Zoom
About the adventure
Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner—and you are invited. This game is not for the faint of heart, or for the squeamish.
How to prepare
Players will need: A decent understanding of the rules of D&D 5e mechanics A webcam and mic (video is required to verify dice rolls) A stable internet connection Access to "Zoom" software Their own dice (if desired, the DM can roll for those who do not want to roll for themselves)
What I provide
The DM will provide: Maps (via screen share through Zoom) Sound Effects Voices for the NPC's Books (Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, Curse of Strahd) A shared Google Drive Folder (for character sheets, campaign notes, and artwork) A great, but spooky, time!
The game contains themes that may be unsettling for some folks. Because of this we utilize the "X, N, O" tools.

How will character creation work
Patrons of The Vagabond Tavern will create their characters at session 0. We will utilize dungeonmastersvault.com for character sheet creation. After character sheets are made, they will be downloaded and imported to the shared Google Drive folder. Once this is completed, Patrons will have the ability to select a pre-constructed token piece, which will represent their character until their character is killed in combat, or the patron provides the DM with preferred artwork.
Players can expect
