How to prepare

You will just need a functional mic, no webcam (I tend to go without). You should have a basic idea of the rules beforehand, but I'm happy to offer guidance where guidance is needed! No software needs to be installed, you'll only need Discord and a browser of some kind (For Owlbear Rodeo). You won't even need real dice, as we'll be using a Dice Bot on Discord.

What I provide

- The adventure! - Character stories hooked to the main story! - Digital battle maps! - Tokens for your characters once I'm given a description of what they look like! I make elaborate minis through Heroforge, so the sooner I get character descriptions, the more likely I'll be able to give you a cool token! - Access to most source books, so if you need any information regarding Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, I'm very likely to have it! - Music and character themes for a majority of the scenes in game!

Gameplay details

The main safety tool I use is the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist, communicating what is okay and what isn't through an issued PDF sheet. There will be a session 0 for this game, during which any safety concerns will be discussed and checklists can be compared. After any sessions I run, I encourage any and all feedback, especially if you feel that something crossed a line. I encourage messages to let me know if anything is wrong, and while I'd like to keep the flow of the game moving, I'm always okay with pausing things to readjust how we're playing. How will character creation work

Characters will be starting at level 3 (and will likely reach around 15th-20th level)! They can be created wherever you wish, whether that be paper, D&D Beyond, or some other character sheet creator. I only ask that you're open with your character stats with me. I typically do character creation on session 0, but as long as they're created b0efore session 1, any time you make them is fine. I do expect you to contact me about any details of said character so we can work out their part of the story. I also offer pre-made characters, if that's preferred! If you'd like to go more in depth with where your character is from, send me a discord message and we can discuss the lore of the world this campaign takes place in! I have plenty! I'm also open to making any concepts work! So again, contact me and we can discuss anything you like! We will be using the Point Buy or Standard Array system for character creation, so no rolling for stats! In addition, stick to average hit points! Being an adventure that's largely custom built, I'm absolutely willing to allow some forms of Homebrew and other content, as long as it's been given to me ahead of time that way I can approve it (This goes for One Dnd and Unearthed Arcana content as well)! Should you contact me, I have a library of homebrew I'm familiar with that I'm more likely to say yes to, so if you wish, please do ask about it! The setting is low magic, but despite that, you can start with a common magic item! Level ups are somewhat sparse, and the Tower is rather difficult, so in addition to a common magic item, you'll be allowed to start with one feat (That is geared toward non-combat/is more for RP and flavor) and one extra special thing. The extra special thing could be an extra feat, extra items, or an extra feature on your character, but whatever it is should be related to your backstory.
