About the adventure
A ragtag group of misfits and mercenaries have been summoned to a small town to deal with a big problem: the Swamp King. For years the denizens of the sleepy town of Dewy Bird have fished and foraged in the nearby wetlands, but in recent months an increasing number of increasingly aggressive monsters have been driving the townsfolk out of the swamp, all in the name of the mysterious "Swamp King." Set in the small, mountainous kingdom of Montvale, where classic Western Euro fantasy vibes blend with with those of rural Appalachia. This adventure will be filled with laughs and bad country accents, as well as heartfelt moments. Explore the swamp, confront strange creatures, and manage the superstitious townsfolk. Will your party find a way for the monsters and townsfolk to live in peace or will you drive out the Swamp King for good?

How to prepare
You will need a stable internet connection, a Discord account and MapTool (rptools.net), a quiet room, headphones, and a mic (earbuds/computer built-in is fine). We will either all use webcams or none of us use webcams.
What I provide
Our Discord server will have a dice bot for gameplay as well as a music bot for ambiance (that you can mute if you so choose!).
Gameplay details
In session 0 we'll get to know each other a bit, discuss the structure of the sessions, and some safety tools to ensure everyone can have a good time. Safety tools will include some Lines and Veils for our game: content we'll keep out and content we'll keep limited, as well as X, N, and O cards which will be used to handle in-session situations.

Start dreaming up your character, and we'll put them on paper in session 0. We'll figure out how they fit in the world, who else in the party they're connected to, and what their motivation is. You'll be able to finish any fine details after session 0, but we'll role the ability scores and pick classes together.
