About the adventure
Adventurers wanted! Grow your might and test your mettle! These are strange times. A blight of blood sucking plants is ravaging the lands. For the first time in generations, a dragon has been seen. And, the last heirs of an ancient and honorable line of warriors has arrived. Is this a coincidence, or do these events foreshadow something greater? This campaign will run through the adventures set out in the Tales From the Yawning Portal campaign. These adventures will be linked together by a compelling story. You can expect a mix of combat, roleplaying, exploration, and puzzle solving. Thursdays 9:00 AM - 11:50 PM JST (Japan Standard Time) (Wednesdays 5PM PST, 8PM EST) Language: English with optional/supporting Japanese. About me I've been playing and GMing RPGs for over 35 years. I currently run campaigns for my friends, some having gone on for over four years. My style of GMing is a mix of roleplaying, action, and intrigue. Big influences for me are the epic heroics of Lord of the Rings and dark fantasy such as The Sandman and The Dark Tower, sprinkled with light hearted antics and a dash of cosmic horror. I run a PG13 game, and I can ramp it up a bit for a more mature audience or tone it down for a younger audience (I currently run a campaign for my friends' kids aged 7-14). I am happy to work with new players as well as more experienced ones. I currently live in Tokyo, Japan, so my availability is focused on JST. I am fairly proficient in Japanese and I am also an experienced English teacher, so this campaign is great for anyone learning English to practice while having a great adventure! Character Creation Characters begin at level 1. Characters are created with a 27 point stat buy. If you need help with character creation I will walk you through this. Evil characters are not allowed without express permission.

How to prepare
Computer mic is required. I don't require players to be masters of the rules, but I do ask that you put some effort and preparation into knowing your character and applicable rules. And, I strongly ask that players be on time and prepared when the session starts, and be focused on the game.
What I provide
I will bring my A-game. I prepare maps, NPCS, encounters, and all elements which will make this an exciting game for the players. To the degree that you make your character an integral part of the story, I will try to weave your story into my world.
Gameplay details
This game contains some adult themes such as murder and human sacrifice, but these themes can be de-empahsized based on the wishes of the players. I avoid graphic descriptions of acts such as torture, rape, etc. You can expect a mix of role-playing and puzzle solving. Although I do prefer to apply rules as written when possible, I do have some flexibility especially where story flow will be trumped by a strict interpretation of the rules. Again, depending on the preferences of the players, these features can be adjusted.
