The Sundered Lands - A Survival and Empire Building Campaign

About the adventure

⚒️ Rebuild a broken community 🛡️ Protect what you have ⚔️ Fight for survival 🗺️ Explore a conquered world The world was once full of life but now it is a broken vestige of what it once was. A generation ago the world abruptly ended or at least thats what those that fled would like to think. For those that remained upon a sundered world life continued, if a struggle for survival could be called living. Torrents of fire break through the earth. Oceans have boiled away and rivers run stagnant. Food is scarce and even then half of it is poison. It is a hard life to live but it is yours. A generation has passed since the land died beneath the elders feet and even though they have kept your home safe danger still lurks over the horizon. The wards protecting your home, from the foulest of creatures and the worst of the natural disasters, are fading. Soon you will need to fend off greater threats and even harsher circumstances. You and others in the community have been chosen by the elders to take over their leadership of the village in the hopes that you can lead towards a brighter future.

How to prepare

To prepare for the game please make sure you have the following: 🔴Roll20 and Discord account set up. 🔴Please also make sure you have a working mic.

What I provide

As this is a roll20 game everything will be on that platform. I custom make battlemaps and creatures to fit the campaign. I have access to; Players Handbook, Monster Manual, Dungeon Masters Guide, Volos Guide, Tashas Cauldron, Xanathars, Fizbans Treasury, Guilds of Ravnica, Taldorei Reborn, Shadow of the Dragon Queen, Theros, Eberron, Bigby's Guide to Giants and an assortment of 3rd party materials. I can share these with players as needed and when I purchase any new content and choose to add it to the campaign the players will also gain access to those options.

Gameplay details

Tracking of resources will be required and an integral part of the game. Actions have consequences and NPCs will react to the group dependant on their choices. Time is always ticking, if a time limit is placed on an objective I will be keeping track to maintain a believable world. If the group doesnt do a mission there may be consequences. Combat and Roleplay is even in most of my games but this can change dependant on the group and the current questline. Some sessions may have no combat and some may be all combat.

How will character creation work

🔴Characters will be made at level 1 with the caveat that the time between levels 2 and 3 will be one session. 🔴 Any published WoTC book or approved 3rd party materials can be used to make your character. (Steinhardts, Helianas, Stibbles, Drakenheim, Tome of Heroes) 🔴You can use either Standard Array or Point buy for your character's stats. 🔴Character backstories do not need to be decided until after your first session. 🔴Characters may be changed up until the beginning of the 4th session

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
