The Snow Stalkers [a spooky D&D one-shot]

About the adventure

The halfling merchant Nim Brago gestures at the plush cushions on the thick rug, entreating you to make yourself comfortable while he fusses over some brew he's preparing for you and the other adventurers gathered here in his large tent. As light snow pelts the canvas walls and top of the tent, you can't help but wonder how Nim got his hooks into these other poor souls as he did you. Nim pushes the mug of warm yak milk tea into your hands and drops in a spoonful of honey, smiling nervously. He steps to the back of the tent where he can address the whole group and clears his throat before he starts his pitch. This is a single-session adventure of horror and spookiness set in the D&D world of Eberron for 5th-level characters. Players new to D&D are welcome! We play on Roll20, using D&D Beyond for our character sheets and dice rolls using the Beyond20 browser extension. We use Discord for chat, voice and text only.

How to prepare

You will need a decent microphone for Discord chat (preferably set to Push-to-Talk), a Roll20 account, and a D&D Beyond account.

What I provide

I have every sourcebook on D&D Beyond, so you have all the character creation options available to you.

Gameplay details

This game contains the following themes: horror and gore. Players can make use of the safety tools available, and can always message the DM privately if they wish about any issues they might have. I use the Safety Deck add-on from Roll20, which includes an "X" card for any situation that makes you uncomfortable. My games never include scenes of sexual assault.
